La Ciotat, the Green Island, and Les Embiez
Right from the start, the regional coastline will reveal exceptional wild landscapes to you. From the Bay of Marseille, admire the panoramic view of the city of Marseille stretching 30 kilometers around its circumference as you weave your way between its islands—Frioul, Château d’If, Tiboulen, and Île Maire—passing Cape Croisette and the islands of Jarron, Jarre, Calseraigne, Petit Congloué, Grand Congloué, the Moyadons, Moyade, the Empereurs, the Riou archipelago with its island and calanques, Boulegeade, Fontagne, Monastério, the Contrebandiers, and the tip of Cap Nègre.
Following on from the magnificent Calanques of Sormiou, Morgiou, Sugiton and its Torpilleur rock, Saint-Jean-de-Dieu (also known as “l’œil de verre”), Devenson, Eissadon, Oule, En Vau, Port Pin, Port Miou, Figuerolles, Mugel, and many others—not to mention the various coves dotted along the rugged landscape of this coastline, with its quintessential Provençal beauty as seen from the sea—you’ll find yourself in the Bay of La Ciotat, rich in magical anchorages where the crystal-clear water and seabed will delight you.
