A day on board the IA Orana catamaran
Every trip is different, as the skipper adapts the route to the day’s wind and sea to find the most sheltered anchorage. Here, as an example, is how a day at sea from 10am to 5pm goes.
10am: boarding
Welcome at Port Corbières, private parking. The skipper introduces the IA Orana catamaran, gives the safety briefing and announces the programme depending on the wind.
10:30am: heading out
Sailing to the Frioul, the Côte Bleue or the calanques. The curious take the helm with the skipper, the others settle on the front nets.
12pm: first anchorage
A swim in a turquoise cove, mask, snorkel and paddleboard. The tender lets you reach a beach or follow the cliffs.
1pm: lunch on board
Meal served at the large cockpit table, in the shade: your picnic or one of our six catering options.
3pm: relaxing
A nap in the sun on the flybridge, a second swim, or a change of anchorage to discover another cove.
5pm: back to port

What happens if the weather is bad?
Your skipper adapts the route to find an anchorage sheltered from the wind. If conditions do not allow a safe trip, it is postponed or refunded in line with our terms and conditions of sale.
Is the IA Orana catamaran suitable for children?
Yes, it is even the boat we recommend to families: very stable, with large protected spaces and front nets edged with guardrails. Life jackets for every size are on board; tell us the children’s ages when booking.
Can we organise a marriage proposal on board?
Yes. The private sunset on IA Orana is perfect for a marriage proposal: we prepare the setting, drinks or champagne with you, and the skipper knows how to step aside at the right moment.
How far in advance should we book the catamaran?
For July, August and weekends in June, book one to two months ahead. Off season, a few weeks are often enough. Stays of several days are ideally booked in spring.
Which water activities can we do from the catamaran?
Swimming, mask and snorkel, paddleboarding and, on request, the towed ring, wakeboarding or a jet-ski. Towed activities are forbidden in the heart of the Calanques National Park: the skipper offers them on the Côte Bleue or in the bay.
