Each boat is offered for a number of guests that guarantees comfort and safety on board. The sailboat appeals to groups of six to ten friends who want to feel the boat heel under sail and dive from the swim platform. The catamaran, stable and spacious, welcomes larger groups with its trampolines at the front, perfect for sunbathing between swims and for group photos. Classic sailboats, such as Andale, Hygie or the ketch Belle Aventure designed by William Fife III, offer an exceptional setting for a hen or stag party that nobody will forget.

More than 30 guests? We bring together several boats, moored side by side at anchor: the whole group stays together for swimming, drinks and the meal. See the whole fleet on our boats page.

The budget

How much does a hen or stag party on a boat cost?

The price of a hen party at sea is for the whole boat, not per person. That is what makes it so affordable: the bigger the group, the lower the price per guest. Here are a few budget examples, skipper and fuel included.

  • Sunset on a sailboat for 10 people: €700, or €70 per person, plus drinks at €19 per person if you leave them to our caterer.
  • Full day on a sailboat for 10 people: €790, or €79 per person, with the paddleboard, swimming and the picnic you bring.
  • Full day on a 42-foot catamaran for 14 people: €1,690, or about €121 per person, with much more space to dance and sunbathe.
  • Full day on a 50-foot catamaran for 20 people: €2,590, or about €130 per person, for large groups who do not want to split up.

At a hen party, tradition has the friends share the bride-to-be’s share, and the same goes for the groom-to-be at a stag party. To keep things simple, the best man or maid of honour can pay the deposit online and then collect everyone’s contribution: we send a clear quote, with details of the boat, the extras and the total price.

On the day

How your hen or stag party at sea goes

  1. 1

    Welcome at the port

Your skipper welcomes you at Port Corbières, where the private car park makes it easy for the group to arrive, then gives the safety briefing and introduces the boat.

  2. 2

    Sailing to the coves

Head for the calanques of the Côte Bleue, the Frioul islands or the calanques of Cassis, depending on the departure port, the weather and what you would like. Anyone who wants to can take the helm.

  3. 3

    Anchoring and swimming

A break in a cove with turquoise water: swimming, paddleboarding, mask and snorkel, games and challenges prepared by the best man or maid of honour.

  4. 4

Drinks or a meal on board

At anchor, with music outside protected areas and your own playlist: lunch, sunset drinks or dinner, depending on the option.

  5. 5

    Back to port

Return in the late afternoon or at night, with the lights of Marseille, and all the photos of a hen or stag party out of the ordinary.

Good to know

Our tips for a successful hen or stag party at sea

Choosing the right date

From May to September, the sea is warm and the days are long. Saturdays in June, July and August are the most sought-after for a hen party in Marseille: book one to two months ahead. In May, September and October, the light is magnificent, the anchorages are quieter and it is easier to find the ideal boat.

Matching the boat to the size of the group

Count the number of guests before choosing: a sailboat for ten people at most, a catamaran beyond that. A boat that is too small spoils the comfort; one that is too big pushes up the budget. If in doubt, simply give the number of guests in your quote request: we will advise you on the most suitable boat.

Planning music in the right place

Amplified music is forbidden in the heart of the Calanques National Park. For a stag or hen party with music, the skipper chooses an anchorage on the Côte Bleue or at the Frioul, outside protected areas. The calanques of Cassis are best enjoyed in peace, for swimming and photos.

Keeping the party safe and responsible

The sea and alcohol do not mix well: swimming is done in moderation, always from the back of the boat and under the skipper’s eye. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, a cap and a sweatshirt for the way back. The skipper alone decides on safety on board: he can cut a swim short or change anchorage if the situation requires it.

Keeping an eye on the weather

The mistral can whip up a rough sea in a few hours. The skipper checks the Météo-France forecasts before every trip and chooses the most sheltered route. If the weather does not allow the trip, it is postponed at no cost or refunded, in line with our terms and conditions of sale. You can also follow the forecasts on our marine weather Marseille page.

Packing your bag for the day

Swimsuit, towel, non-marking shoes, sunglasses, a phone charger and a waterproof speaker if you like. Leave your heels on shore: on board, everyone goes barefoot. For hen party accessories, choose fabric and materials that will not blow away.

FAQ

Hen and stag parties at sea: your questions

How much does a hen or stag party on a boat in Marseille cost?

A hen or stag party at sea costs from €700 for a sunset and from €790 for a day or an evening on a private sailboat with a skipper, for the whole boat. On a catamaran, allow from €1,490 for the day, and from €2,000 for a classic sailboat. Shared between ten guests, a hen party at sea often comes to €79 per person.

How many people can come on board?

From 6 to 10 people on a sailboat, up to 20 on a catamaran, 25 on board the ketch Belle Aventure and 30 on the classic sailboat Saintam’. Beyond that, we raft several boats together at anchor: the whole group stays together for swimming and drinks.

Do I need to know how to sail?

No. A professional skipper is always on board: he drives the boat, chooses the anchorage according to the weather and looks after safety. Anyone who wants to can take the helm or trim a sail.

Can we bring our own drinks, music and decorations?

Yes. You can bring your drinks, your playlist and your decorations: balloons, garlands, sashes and accessories are welcome. Confetti, glitter and sky lanterns are forbidden to protect the sea. Alcohol consumption must remain reasonable: the skipper alone decides on safety on board.

Can we play music in the calanques?

Amplified music is forbidden in the heart of the Calanques National Park. To party with music, the skipper chooses a suitable anchorage, for example on the Côte Bleue or at the Frioul, outside protected areas.

Which option should we choose for a hen or stag party?

The full day, from 10am to 5pm, is the most complete: sailing, swimming, paddleboarding and lunch at anchor. The sunset, about three hours, is ideal for drinks and photos. The evening, from 6pm to 11pm, combines the sunset, dinner on board and the return by night with the lights of Marseille.

Where do the boats leave from?

From Port Corbières, in L’Estaque, with private, secure parking in front of the boat. All our boats can also leave from Cassis or La Ciotat, with a supplement of €300.

Can we arrange a meal or drinks?

Yes: the Drinks package at €19 per person, Prestige drinks at €35 with a glass of champagne, lunch from our partner caterer from €35 to €75 per person and dinner from €50 per person. You can also bring your own picnic.

Can we organise a surprise for the bride or groom-to-be?

Yes. We agree on a cover story and a time with the best man or maid of honour, the group boards before the guest of honour arrives, and the surprise happens on the pontoon. We keep the secret to the very end.

Is a joint hen and stag party possible?

Of course. More and more groups bring both future spouses and their friends together for a shared send-off: a catamaran is then ideal to welcome everyone.

What happens if the weather is bad?

The skipper decides whether the trip goes ahead based on the Météo-France forecasts. If the mistral blows or the sea is too rough, the trip is postponed at no cost or refunded in line with our terms and conditions of sale.

How far in advance should I book?

Saturdays from May to September go quickly: ideally, book one to two months ahead. For a date coming up soon, message us on WhatsApp; we always look for a solution, even if it means offering another boat.

Can we sleep on board after the party?

Yes, with a skippered charter on a sailboat or catamaran: the party at anchor, a night on board and breakfast facing the sea. Ask us for a quote for a full weekend.

Can we give the trip to the bride or groom-to-be as a gift?

Yes, with our gift vouchers, valid for 12 months and extendable by 6 months free of charge. The best man or maid of honour can book the trip and let the group choose the date.
